Originally from Syracuse, NY, Kelly L. Taylor is a graduate of Guilford College in Greensboro, NC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in oil painting, A.B. in English and a minor in Education Studies. Her works are shadowy still life paintings that illuminate the darkness of tragedy that begs to be remembered and recounted. A Dean’s List and honors student, Taylor is a recipient of the Guilford College Art Appreciation Club Award for Artistic Merit and CCE Award for Outstanding Achievement in Art. She received Honorable Mention in painting in the annual Guilford College Juried Student Art Exhibition and exhibited in We Join Spokes Together in a Wheel, a regional student art exhibition. Taylor is also active in the Triad’s art community, exhibiting her work in local galleries and participating in art collaboratives.
